Uğur TATLICI / e-MBA Student
If you wish to become an MBA student however you're working and also you live in a city other than the one where the university exists, then your wish becomes a dream. I live in Antalya and I work in the tourism and media sectors. Unfortunately there are no foundation or private universities here. One has to go to Istanbul or another city in order to be able to do an MBA. Considering these circumstances, committing to an MBA programme had become a dream for me as well.

After receiving a degree in business at undergraduate level in America, I started to look for Universities where I could fulfill my dream of an MBA. As a result of my research over the internet, I came across İstanbul Bilgi University's e-MBA Programme. After finding out about how the system works, the programme appealed to me much more than the other programmes; not to mention the reasonable price of the programme. Traditional MBA Programmes are much more expensive and there's also the problem of attendance therefore you have to move to another city on a temporary basis. You are obliged to go to the university two or three days a week. Especially in big cities, the traffic is unbearable. Fuel costs aside, it is not worth the time you lose... Especially if there is an opportunity to follow an MBA programme by sitting in front of your PC at home, it is irrational to make a comparison. In terms of academic staff, lecturers and assistants are all very enthusiastic and willing to help. Especially the assistants are full of excitement and eagerness...After a while you automatically start seeing them as friends. Communication is made and sustained by e-mail, telephone or chat; eliminating any difficulties that you may face in this respect. Your books are sent to you in the beginning of term, without any delay. Everything you need to know is on the web pages of Bilgi e-MBA. Bulletin Board, forum, courses, examinations, assignements, chat and library, all of these are accessible online...In addition, important announcements are sent to you by e-mail. You follow the programme by reading the course material of the week, answering the questions at the end of each course, and testing yourself with the quizzes. If there is an assignment due, you can prepare it and send it over the internet.

There is no reason why anyone should be afraid of the programme, thinking they won't be able to handle it. If you know how to open up a computer and how to use a mouse and keyboard, and if you are also a bit hard-working, it is pretty much safe to say that the MBA Diploma will be in your hands. Each term you have to go to İstanbul for final examinations. It is of course possible to regard this as a few days' escape; a sort of mini holiday of one or two days. The relationship between the students themselves is just as important as that of students and academic staff. You will never have a problem regarding this issue. Since most of the students have jobs and careers, they are mature individuals with sound ambitions. I see this as one of the most significant features of the programme.

As a result I strongly recommend this programme to everybody. Don't ever hesitate to apply, as I'm absolutely certain that you'll be satisfied.
