EMBA 571 Business Information Systems This course is first, about business and second about information technology. Accordingly, the emphasis throughout the course is on exploiting advances in information technology so as to initiate and manage the development of effective information systems that can enhance business operations, support managerial decision-making, and create strategic advantage. The course does have, however, a substantial technological component, which examines, from a managerial point of view, recent trends in hardware, software and communications technology and their implications for businesses in general and for Turkish firms in particular.
